su -l into root. You should land in the root home directory.
Next, download the
openup utility from M:Tier which will patch the system and update packages automatically. It uses only built-in tools, so there are no dependencies.
Then make it executable.
chmod +x openup
At this point you should run
openup and let it run.
Then reboot to make sure all kernel changes are applied.
